SPRINT HTC EVO 4G phone and Google Nexus One although manufactured by HTC are 2 completely different sides of a Smartphone. The former is in news due to its 4G and EVO support while the latter has also managed to impress the mobile users across the world. Here is a quick review of both these mobile phones.

SPRINT HTC EVO 4G

Sprint HTC EVO 4G is the first WIMAX enabled Sense powered Android 2.1 Smartphone in the market. Touted to be released on June 4 2010, this phone has already created waves in the gadget market even before its arrival. As a matter of fact, this HTC phone which is featuring the exclusive EVO and 4G technology has surely scintillated the interest of millions of IT corporations and gadget freaks alike. It boasts of a 4.3 inch WVGA display although it shares the same Snapdragon 1GHz processor as Google Nexus One. HTC EVO has a glossy body in black with red accents which although slimmer in design is more solid than Nexus One.

Another compelling feature of SPRINT HTC EVO 4G is its new Hotspot application [for 8 devices] and YouTube HQ.
4G support
Perhaps this is one quality which makes this SPRINT phone stand out from the rest including the Google Nexus as well as IPhone 3GS. One can heighten their web browsing experience with the help of 4G in their phone. Following are some of the highlighting features that come attached with 4G technology

•WIMAX Radio control independent of CDMA/EV-DO, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Radio.
•Even the desktop calibre websites open with decent speed even when you are making calls through CDMA side by side.
•Hotspot application thrives on 4G technology to run smoothly than ever before.

This Android powered phone which was launched in January 2010 is counted amongst one of the fastest smartphones ever in gadget world. Although it looks a lot like an iPhone, its body is much slimmer at 11.5 mm deep. The phone is quite light as compared to the substantial size of SPRINT HTC EVO 4G phones. Although the phone is manufactured by HTC only, it’s out and out Google phone. As a matter of fact, Google has based its promotional strategy for this phone on its Android OS. The self acclaimed ‘Superphone’ boasts of quite new features in its kitty like live wallpapers, new clock application, 3D applications and settings backup facility[ backup of profile, application, ringtone and other such widgets].

Google Nexus One has a new CoolIris technology which enables you to view photos in 3D format. There are two docks for charging like the normal charger and the car charger. The former activates the Clock application and the latter opens the Google Navigation.

Even though Google Nexus shares the same processor as HTC EVO, it surely loses out on full brightness screen when viewed in sunlight. The 4 functional soft touch buttons on EVO are also much better than the Google Nexus in use. Sprint also scores on battery life. If one look over such minute differences, both phones is capable of working exceptionally well and heighten the experience of mobile using in the coming future!
