Iphone 4 is the most expensive phone till that is Apple iPhone 4. This claim is being duly supported by the part by part cost analysis of the phone. The total estimated cost of iPhone 4 came out to be $187.51 for 16 GB version. This is higher than the estimated cost of iPhone 3GS [$178.96] and HTC nexus One [$174.15].

This total cost was estimated after the prices of each component were recorded individually. These prices were in turn taken from the manufacturer of those components. However, this total estimated cost doesn’t include other charges like- Apple’s development costs, shipping charges, advertising costs etc.

One thing that came out from this cost analysis was that the iPhone 4’s priciest part is its ‘Retina Display’. It is said to be developed by LG at the cost of $28.50 which is 15.2% of the total cost. This retina display which is 3.5 inch thick and boasts of a 960 by 640 resolution hasn’t been used in any other electronic product till date. In fact, it is being marketed as display with a higher resolution than even a human eye!

The pixel density is much higher than 1080p which speaks a lot about the quality and clarity of picture on your mobile screen. There is also a protective layer on the touch screen which is scratch resistant and maintains the vivid color display.

The next costliest part on iPhone 4 after retina display is NAND flash memory, produced by Samsung and priced at 27. Its 14% of the total cost!

Some other iPhone 4 components and their prices
•4G bits of mobile Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM-cost $13.80-developed by Samsung
•baseband integrated circuit, cost $11.72
•A4 processor-cost-$5.80
•Gyro scoping chip-cost $2.60

Apple’s iPhone 4 came with the bang in the mobile world! Although its reception has been warm so far, the reports regarding some trouble brewing in its functioning cannot be ignored. Here are five of such possible bugs in the new iPhone 4 based on the feedback of few of the first customers of this iPhone!

Heated Body
It has been experienced by certain users that due to iPhone 4 radio, the phone starts heating up after some time. Since the outer back of the phone is done up in glass, the heat can be felt more clearly. However, with a firmware update this issue can be resolved!

Terrible Reception
This is what can be defined as the ‘death grip’. It means losing the reception or signal when the antenna gets accidentally covered by your hand. This has been seen in several phones. But the basic problem with iPhone 4 is that it doesn’t boast of a great reception to start with.

Battery Run Out
The iPhone 4 battery usage time is 6 hours 14 minutes which is quite impressive on paper! The battery burns itself out just after 13 hours of moderate usage! This issue too has been seen in previous phones like SPRINT HTC EVO 4G and iPhone 3GS.

Screwed Up Screen!
There have been some reports about seeing yellow spots on the screen display of iPhone 4. Apple has indeed taken the innovative path with the use of 3.5-inch, 960-by-640 IPS LCD screen [no other electronic product is using this specification]. But the yellow spots on iPhone 4’s screen display are indeed a reality too which needs to be checked!

Wobbly Proximity Sensor
The proximity sensor of iPhone 4 becomes a bit wobbly especially when you restore the phone from a back up of an earlier iPhone. The phone hangs up in the middle of calls due to this proximity sensor issue. It can be resolved by setting your iPhone 4 as a new phone in iTunes!

These five possible bugs in iPhone 4 may or may not survive as it all depends on Apple’s innovation and technology!

iPhone 4 which is touted as the new face of iPhones was recently unveiled in front of the whole world. It has clearly managed to scintillate the imagination of many iPhone users across the world. Offering new advanced features like FaceTime video calling, multitasking, improved battery life, high resolution retina display, iOS 4 operating system and much more this phone is surely here to stay. Or as claimed by the Apple CEO Stevie Jobs.

Speculations have been rife over the performance of iPhone 4 even before its launch date was announced. One would its each and every small detail being dissected by mobile users all over the net. Here’s a brief about some of the issues or iPhone 4 problems that might cause trouble in the proper functioning of this phone

MICRO SIM

The news that iPhone 4 supports MICRO SIM has managed to cause worries and uncertainties amongst prospective buyers of iPhone 4. The query regarding the possible transfer of your existing number into a MICRO SIM by telecom companies has so far not found a solid base. Vodaphone and 3 & Telstra however have given confirmation about the issuing of a new SIM with the same old number after the payment of certain fees.

But information about what kind of mobile deals and calling packages would be available under this new SIM has not been revealed yet. Also, chopping up your current SIM to fit into the MICRO SIM port of iPhone 4 has put many people in doubt about the status of their phone numbers in case they accidentally destroy their SIMs.

iOS 4

This operating system which is the same as iPad is world’s most advanced mobile operating system. Now with such fast speed, it is obvious people would make use of net more. This would mean signal usage being increased by 3-5x. Critics cited the example of AT& T, the biggest telecommunications and broadband company of U.S. whose network speed would pull down considerably.

WI-FI

Perhaps the most ironical incident of 2010 would be marked as one when Stevie Jobs was displaying the difference between the picture quality of iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS by downloading pictures. And the Wi-Fi connection went out stalling the download and malfunction of the phone in front of media persons.

It happened because iPhone is 802.11n and most of the networks present in the room were of same frequency. Too many connections thus hampered the signal transmission and led to loss of WI-FI for a brief period.

One must not forget that these are all speculations based on the news generated about the iPhone 4. The real test of this phone will take place on June 24 when it will release in countries like US, UK, Germany, France and Japan!

iPhone 4 is the latest offering by Apple in the iPhone series. Modeled as world’s thinnest Smartphone, it is being considered as the new face of Apple’s iPhones. It comes equipped with quite attractive features like FaceTime video conferencing, high resolution Retina display, multiple touch sensor, multitasking, and iOS 4 operating system.

Here are its specifications
•	5megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash
•	Front facing camera
•	1GHZ processor
•	Longer battery life
•	960 by 640 resolution
•	3 axis gyro
•	High definition video
•	Dual-mic noise suppression

Given here are some of the most commonly asked questions related with iPhone 4 and its various applications. Read on as you might find something useful about iPhone 4 troubleshooting, the current hot commodity in the market.

Is it true that iPhone is the advanced version of iPhone 3GS? Does it really use the iOS 4 operating system?

Yes, it is absolutely true that iPhone4 is a much better version than iPhone 3GS which was only an advanced version of iPhone 3G. What makes iPhone 4 stand apart from 3GS is its iOS 4 operating system. It so happens that iOS 4 is the world’s most advanced mobile operating system till date which is also used in Ipad.

How good is the video conferencing feature in iPhone 4?

Facetime application in iPhone 4 enables you to video conference with your loved ones quite easily! Its advanced operating system and high resolution retina display awards picture perfect clarity to your video streaming.

However at present, one can use video calling option only if the other person too has an iPhone 4 and WI-FI.

I hear that iPhone 4 uses Micro SIM format. Does that mean I have to forfeit my existing number?

Chances are that you can transfer your number to MICRO SIM after paying a small fee. It all really depends upon the telecom companies. Vodaphone and 3 have given their confirmation about the issue of a new MICRO SIM for the same number. News would be out about this in a few days.

Can I cut down my SIM to fit it into the MICRO SIM port of iPhone 4?

iPhone 4 doesn’t entail to the standard SIM format. It uses MICRO SIM port the same as iPad 3G. And yes you can cut down your SIM here too to fit into the phone just like people have done for iPad.

When is iPhone 4 launching in India?

iPhone 4 will release first in UK, US, France, Germany and Japan on 24th June 2010 followed by a release in 18 countries in July and 24 more countries in August.

iPhone 4 will reach India not sooner than September.

How long can an iPhone 4 run without charging? What’s its battery life? Is the backup any better than the previous iPhones?

The battery life is indeed an improvement over the previous iPhones. It has a battery backup of 7 hours which is much better than the earlier 5 hours. It facilitates 6 hours of web browsing over cellular networks and 10 hours in WI-FI.

As a matter of fact HTC and Apple have forever hogged over the slot of top mobile providers in the gadget market. Since the introduction of iPhones, Apple has managed to create monopoly for smartphones. But now HTC too has decided to gives ample competition to this brand with the introduction of SPRINT HTC EVO 4G. This Android powered phone is the first smartphone by Sprint supporting the WIMAX technology.

Also, the most applauding feature of this phone remains 4G support which enhances your browsing experience by manifolds. One can in fact view high definition videos through the help of 4G without any hassle. The new Hotspot and YouTube application walks on these same lines.

In addition, HTC EVO’s new snapdragon processor of 1GHz makes it really easy for you to enjoy various applications in altogether new mode. You can enjoy WIMAX radio without any support from wifi or Bluetooth or even CDMA! This is what one call a Smartphone in every sense. Its built too is quite different from that of a slim looking iPhone 3GS. Even though it is slimmer in look, SPRINT HTC EVO is much more solid looking than iPhone 3GS.

Sprint HTC EVO 4G is the first WIMAX enabled Sense powered Android 2.1 Smartphone in the market. Touted to be released on June 4 2010, this phone has already created waves in the gadget market even before its arrival. As a matter of fact, this HTC phone which is featuring the exclusive EVO and 4G technology has surely scintillated the interest of millions of IT corporations and gadget freaks alike. It boasts of a 4.3 inch WVGA display although it shares the same Snapdragon 1GHz processor as Google Nexus One. HTC EVO has a glossy body in black with red accents which although slimmer in design is more solid than Nexus One.

Another compelling feature of SPRINT HTC EVO 4G is its new Hotspot application [for 8 devices] and YouTube HQ.
•WIMAX Radio control independent of CDMA/EV-DO, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Radio.
•Even the desktop calibre websites open with decent speed even when you are making calls through CDMA side by side.
•Hotspot application thrives on 4G technology to run smoothly than ever before.

This Android powered phone which was launched in January 2010 is counted amongst one of the fastest smartphones ever in gadget world. Although it looks a lot like an iPhone, its body is much slimmer at 11.5 mm deep. The phone is quite light as compared to the substantial size of SPRINT HTC EVO 4G phones. Although the phone is manufactured by HTC only, it’s out and out Google phone. As a matter of fact, Google has based its promotional strategy for this phone on its Android OS. The self acclaimed ‘Superphone’ boasts of quite new features in its kitty like live wallpapers, new clock application, 3D applications and settings backup facility[ backup of profile, application, ringtone and other such widgets].

Google Nexus One has a new CoolIris technology which enables you to view photos in 3D format. There are two docks for charging like the normal charger and the car charger. The former activates the Clock application and the latter opens the Google Navigation.

To sum up the article, we can say they both Google Nexus One and SPRINT HTC EVO 4G are evolutionary phones which are touted as the future of mobile phones. Even though Google Nexus shares the same processor as HTC EVO, it surely loses out on full brightness screen when viewed in sunlight. The 4 functional soft touch buttons on EVO are also much better than the Google Nexus in use. Sprint also scores on battery life. If one look over such minute differences, both phones is capable of working exceptionally well and heighten the experience of mobile using in the coming future!

A Review On Apple’s iPhone 3GS and iPad

All those people who are a die hard fan of Apple gadgets and swear by its innovative and stylish products read this carefully. You are in for a great treat!! The article here offers you a critical analysis of two of the recent offerings by Apple i.e. the new iPhone 3GS and the mobile tablet computer iPad. This will give you a fair idea about what to expect from these devices before buying them.

iPhone 3GS

Apple’s iPhone series have taken the world by storm since past few years. In fact, this has brought a revolution in the technological world of communications which gave a stylish meaning to the term mobile phone. The latest entrant to the field is called iPhone 3GS which is claimed to be a better version of the pervious iPhone 3G. Indeed this phone comes with new enhancements packed in a matte finish, bezel free body. However, you will find the exterior look of the phone extremely similar to the iPhone 3G with more or less no change in the built. It is the software which has been upgraded to cater to the needs of a larger section of mobile users all over the world.

Highlights of iPhone 3GS

•	600 MHz CPU speed [ improved from 412 MHz]
•	256 MB RAM [ improved from 128 MB]
•	16 to 64 GB storage
•	Graphic chip- Power VR SGX
•	iPhone version of Spotlight
•	480 X 320 display
•	Oleophobic coating
•	3 Mega pixel built in camera with auto focus
•	Voice control

The buzz around this new Apple gadget is tremendous. And its quite justified too as Apple has combined together the feature of palm tops and laptops to create an altogether new category of mobile computers!! It’s in the form of a tablet with touch screen just like that present in iPhone and iPod. In fact it looks like a huge iPod Touch with extra features added into it. Currently, it is available in two versions; one with wi-fi and other with wi-fi plus 3G.
