Motorola Droid 2 is going to hit the market soon if the reports are to be believed. According to the latest sources, Droid 2 might be released on August 23 2010 along with Froyo i.e. Android 2.2. This means that the other Droid phones can also expect an update of Froyo sooner than expected. Droid X will get the 2.2. update sometime later in August and so is the case with the original Droid phone.

Gingerbread man i.e. 2.2 Android OS is still not ready for a primetime launch. Motorola Droid 2 will thus be launched with the Froyo on August 23. This has given enough time to test the Droid 2 with the 2.2. update. So far, Droid 2 is being tested on 2.1 version. This will come as a relief to all the mobile users who have to do the update manually every time it becomes available.

Lets and wait and watch how the Motorola Droid 2 turns out to be. For more information on its release date, keep reading this space.

This smart phone series by Motorola in association with Verizon and Google runs on one of the most powerful and successful Android operating system. Currently, it runs on 2.1 version but will also support 2.2. OS when it releases sometime later next year.

Not surprisingly, it has created a buzz amongst the mobile users across the world. This reaction is also due to the immense success tasted by the Droid mobile earlier. This smart phone managed to create its own niche despite the monopoly of Apple iPhones. And now when the new Droid 2 is ready to be launched, the Motorola Company is hoping to score a success this time too!

Motorola Droid 2 can be called an improved version of droid. Motorola has taken special pains to rectify the discrepancies present in the earlier model. One would be delighted to find the D pad buttons being replaced with the QWERTY keyboard. The exterior of the phone is just like the previous Motorola Droid with the only exception of a shiny top bezel ion the upper half of the mobile.

Droid 2 features the latest Android OS i.e. 2.1. The upcoming 2.2. version will also find support in this mobile. Android operating system which is considered to be a very powerful OS created ripples with Motorola Droid and is expected to scale the same heights again and even more with the launch of Android 2.2 version.

Highlighting features of Droid 2
•	1Ghz processor OMAP core
•	3.7 inch touch screen
•	512 mb RAM
•	5 mega pixel camera
•	Internal memory 8 GB
•	8GB flash card
•	Wi-fi

Will Droid 2 would be able to attract attention away from the iPhone 4 is the main question which will be answered with time!

Looks like Motorola doesn’t want to lose out on its excessive popularity gained recently due to their high tech smartphone Droid. The company has now launched its new phone called Motorola Droid X in lieu of the Apple’s iPhone 4. It is not the first time that both the corporate giants have come to loggerheads over mobile marketship. Interestingly, Droid was launched by Verizon, Google and Motorola to break the monopoly of Apple iPhones. This Droid X thus comes as a no surprise when Apple is gearing up for the release of iPhone!

Let’s take a look at this new offering by Droid

Motorola Droid X

This smart phone which runs on the popular and powerful Android 2.1 OS will also support the new Android 2.2 update once it comes out. This is in fact good news for all Android lovers! In addition, this would be the first Android phone ever to feature the DLNA software which allows you interoperability and connectivity with other devices. In fact one can just connect their mobiles with home theatres through HDMI ports in the phone.

Although some of its other specifications are modeled on the same line as iPhone 4. The biggest lies in their operating systems. The buzz is in the market is that Droid X might take over the mobile world when Android 2.2. update becomes available. Currently at 1.0 GHz this mobile provides exceptional speed and features! With the new update, this phone will surely rock!

Here are some other specifications of the Motorola Droid X
•	Android 2.1. OS
•	1.0 GHZ processor
•	512 mb RAM
•	4.3 inch screen
•	854X480 pixels
•	720p HD video
•	8 mega pixel camera with dual LED flash
•	Bluetooth
•	DNLA
•	Wi-fi
•	Accelerometer
•	Light sensor
•	GPS
•	3G mobile hot spot tethering
•	3 microphones
•	8 GB internal memory
•	16GB or 32GB micro SD card
•	1570 mAh battery

In the conclusion one can say that Droid X has got all the factors to make it big in the Smartphone market. But to say that it is in altogether another league of iPhone 4, well, that would be too early to comment upon.

Smartphones like iPhones, Blackberry and Motorola Droid can be considered as the pioneers of mobile soccer applications. One can enjoy their favorite game on their mobile without any cost and check latest scores and matchers from anywhere round the world.

Recently only Blast Applications or BLAP launched iGoals application for iPhone users on the occasion of FIFA WORLD Cup 2010. This application features

Mobile VOIP is a term which is slowly gaining popularity in the telecommunications circuit. It is one such technology which will bring forth the joy of cross country calling to an altogether new level. VOIP or Voice over Internet Protocol uses the medium of internet for the transmission of voice date from one corner to another thus enabling telephonic conversation. It is relatively a cheaper method of calling which saves you much on international calling rates.
Companies like Skype and Truphone have made millions using this technology.

Earlier this technology was restricted to just landlines and PC but now it has moved over to your mobile handsets as well. This would enable you to stay connected with your loved ones all the time and also enjoy unique features of VOIP. What more, it would save you oodles of cost! However, this cost effectiveness of Mobile VOIP is something which was making the mobile carriers reluctant to adapt it. It would mean loss of revenues for many operators. But they have slowly risen to the growing popularity of VOIP in mobile phones. One cannot remain ignorant to the need of customers for long. With smart phones like iPhone, Droid, Sprint EVO etc. that make use of 3G and 4G technology ruling the mobile market, VOIP is indeed a much better option than WI-FI.

The future of Mobile VOIP looks bright as predicted by the Juniper Research. According to this report mobile VOIP users will increase by manifolds by the year 2012.

The major findings of the research were

•Mobile VOIP in developed markets will steadily rise due to the increasing demand for global networking for professional as well social purposes.
•Mobile VOIP in developing markets will rise even more than in developed markets due to the heavy traffic volume generated by migrant workers.
•Alliance formed between the traditional operators and Mobile VOIP providers would work best in the future.

Next time you find a Mobile VOIP enabled phone then just grab hold of it. It is the future!

Is Google getting ready to give stiff competition to Apple’s Ipad?

is this how google tablet will look?

Gadget freaks all over the world have been speculating over this issue-whether or not Google is going to launch its own tablet in competition to Apple’s hugely successful Ipad. The rumors have become more strife since the confirmatory statement made by the Verizon Wireless CEO, Lowell Mcadam in a recent interview. The CEO gave indication about the development of an Android powered tablet computer in partnership with Google.

The liaison between Verizon, Google and Android was last seen in Motorola’s ace phone Droid which successfully implemented the Android operating system. Incidentally, Droid too was launched to break the monopoly of Apple’s iPhone series. Given the success of this liaison, there is a very negligible chance of the corporate giants not repeating their winning formula again in the form of 3G Google Android Tablet. This growing partnership between Verizon and Google also finds base in the fact that Verizon is the largest wireless carrier of U.S.

There have been no confirmations or details released about the launch, manufacture, applications, design or any other specification. However, speculations are being rife over this upcoming gadget from Google. Right from its look to its updated applications, everything is being discussed and argued over. But one thing is for sure, if Google wants to walk neck to neck with Ipad it would surely have to work on following areas

•	Streaming video options
•	E-reader solutions
•	Touch friendly OS skin
•	Flash and air support

Although the biggest difference between Google Android Tablet computer and Apple Ipad will still be their operating system and the consequent application changes. Google follows an open source platform in the form of Android as compared to the more rigid operating system of Apple. Google allows more freedom to users with third party download and support for Adobe Flash. Incidentally, Ipad has been condemned on these two points only.

Since the unavailability of any other details and release date for Android run Google Tablet on Verizon, there is minuscule amount of uncertainty about the development of such a tablet in the near future. All one can do right now is wait and watch for this revolutionary gadget to arrive in the market!

Microsoft when launched its new pink slider touch phones series didn’t just targeted to take on the Apple’s iPhones but also the second largest popular phone in demand these days i.e. Droid, to be more precise the Motorola Droid. Now Motorola too has launched its new phone in competition with the iPhones in order to claim its stake again as the mobile king which it sadly failed to repeat after MotorRazr. There are quite a few who would agree over this point that Droid is no doubt a tough competitor for the iPhones and other similar smartphones flitting in the market these days. However, Microsoft is a name which has been synonymous with tremendous success in the IT business and its windows phones at one point of time did generate commendable response. It would be quite interesting to see a competitive analysis of both these phones who have been launched to break down the monopoly of Apple smartphones.

Here’s a general look at both these phones

Motorola Droid

It is touted as the second best phone in the market after the iPhones. In fact, Droid has been launched in collaboration with Verizon and Google who too have been looking for a revamp of their image. The selling feature and highlight of this phone is its powerful Android 2.0 operating system. In addition, you get an enhanced facilitation of social networking sites, advanced Google navigation map and attractive design. Droid’s exterior boast of glass and metallic finish with thin gold lines working round its body. The strong QWERTY touchpad below the glass body renders you a PC like quality.

Here are some of the highlights of Motorola Droid phone
•	3.7 inch, 854 X 480 display screen
•	267 ppi pixel density
•	5 megapixel camera with LED flash
•	Micro USB port
•	ARM Cortex A8 CPU [600 MHz]

Microsoft Kin series come in two models- Microsoft Kin One and Microsoft Kin Two. Aimed at social media needs of customers all over the globe, it provides you applications like LOOP, SPOT, and STUDIO which offer multiple sharing and updates of status messages, sms, photos, videos, location etc. While Kin One is ideal for those who favour a small phone, Kin Two presents the bulkier version of Microsoft phones.
Here are some of the highlighting features of these phones

Microsoft Kin is the latest offering by the Microsoft in attempt to kickstart their slow paced phone sales which have been left behind in the competition since the introduction of iPhone and Droid phones. The Kin series which boast of two models named aptly the Microsoft Kin One and Microsoft Kin Two are high up on the demand of mobile users all over the world solely due to the hype generated around these phones a year back by the company. The phones were earlier given the nicknames of ‘turtle pink’ for Kin One and ‘pure’ for Kin Two. The shiny glossy finish on its curvaceous body adds character to Microsoft Kin. In addition, Microsoft has launched these phones keeping in mind the growing needs of social networking amongst mobile users. Younger crowd will appreciate this phone truly.

Both Microsoft Kin One and Microsoft Kin Two feature QWERTY keypad and QVGA touch screen display. The built in FM and Zune media player enhances its competitiveness by manifolds. Also, exclusively for MAC users there is an application for downloading music from your music system into the phone. While Kin One posses a 5 megapixel camera, Kin Two presents a 8 megapixel camera. Both of them come with LED flash attached. The internal memory built in both the pink slider phones is also commendable with 4GB in Kin One and 8 GB in Kin Two. Same goes for the recording as well, wherein standard video recording is available for Kin One and HD video recording for Kin Two.

Microsoft has also introduced three new social medial friendly applications i.e. Loop, Spot, Studio.

Loop- It provides an interlink connection with facebook, twitter and myspace under just one place.

Spot- It provides sandbox sharing of text messages, photos, videos, location and even status updates with all your friends.

Studio- It is a cloud based service that backs up the text messages, contacts, photos, videos, call history etc to the cloud server in an automated version.

Microsoft Kin One is quite tiny in size as compared to the Microsoft Kin Two who is bulky with a wide screen display that gives you a full QWERTY keypad experience. All in all, the new Microsoft Phones are here to stay!
