Nokia Withdrawing Ovi Files Service from October One Onwards

Nokia is ending its long running Ovi files service from October 1 of this year i.e. 2010.
This cloud file storage service which allowed the users to store their data on the internet and later sync it with their mobiles phones was started with much pomp and affair! But the service failed to retain its original fan following and so it’s now finally being laid down to rest!
Nokia Company has issues an email to all its Ovi users about the discontinuing of this service and has promptly asked them to uninstall Ovi Files Connector from their PCs.
This software used to help people to transfer their data back and forth from mobile to computers. Nokia has asked the users to now use another Nokia product i.e. Nokia Ovi Suite.
Ovi Files was launched after Nokia became the proud owner of Cloud Storage Company Avenue rights. It generally means that you can store files on internet and later sync it with your mobiles.
It is quite sad to see the termination of a service which held such high promises.
