Dell is not an unknown name in the computer world. Known for its smart computers and studio notebooks, this company has a sound reputation for its innovative use of latest technology. But the recent decisions taken by the company about its new products have really put a question on its decision making abilities. At least this is what the tech gurus and gadget geeks are thinking these days.
Dell recently launched its first ever Android smartphone Aero in the mobile market. it is also being called as the lightest Android smartphone ever. Since the company is venturing into this arena for the first time, one would expect something dazzling and new from them. We don’t know about dazzling but the Dell’s smartphone surely has brought in something new or we should say rather old!
The first ever smartphone by Dell. i.e. Aero runs on OS Android 1.5! Yes, you heard it right, the smartphone I using rather an outdated OS. Most of the Android devices are running on 2.1 while 2.2 is ready to hit the market! In fact, all the earlier mobile devices are being updated to the current 2.1. and 2.2 OS.
In such a scenario the decision by Dell has managed to astound the whole mobile industry! What could Dell be thinking by using an outdated Android OS in their smartphone when they surely have a better update available. Earlier too when Dell launched its Streak tablet it surprised everyone by including Android 1.6 OS in it.
Only time could tell whether Dell’s First Android Phone running on Android 1.5 OS will become successful or not
