Motorola Droid is likely by Android handset that Verizon would be soon offering. The handset which was expected to be named Motorola Shloes or Motorola Tao will be called Motorolla Droid.

Few of the expected features of Motorola Droid are:
- QWERTY thumbboard (something like that of the Motorola CLIQ)
- Motorola Droid would be the 1st phone to be powered by Android 2.0.
- Native Sync Support for Facebook & Exchange
- An all new Maps Application
- A new UI makeover
- 5-megapixel camera with night shot capabilities
- High-Resolution screen (possibly a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA)) similar to Acer’s Liquid

Motorola Droid is likely to be available in stores by the 30th of October. The phone is likely to be priced at around $199 with a 2 yr contract. The market has high expectations from the Motorola Droid. Lets see what Verizon & Motorola have got for us!
